A closer look at
the everyday.
Allie Thurgood is a ceramic artist from Flagstaff, Arizona, whose practice centers on hand-built sculptural forms.
Working with clay and textiles, she transforms familiar bags and everyday objects into sculptures that invite a slower kind of attention. Folds, flowers, and richly worked surfaces become ways to consider consumption, routine, and the value of what surrounds us.
She earned her BFA in ceramics from Arizona State University in 2025 and is currently pursuing her MA in studio arts at ASU. Her practice extends into the shared studio, where making and learning happen together.
